Oracle Park public tours last 90 mins. and allow visitors to see what makes this ballpark different from all other ballparks.  We discuss the unique dimensions of the field as well as its scenic placement on the edge of SF Bay.  The tour usually includes the following stops although private events and preparation for games can limit access to some:

  • Visitors’ clubhouse

  • Visitors’ batting cage

  • Visitors’ dugout

  • World Series trophies

  • Club level mini-museum

  • Tony Bennett Luxury box

  • View level (for an overview of ballpark features)

The Giants have been playing since 1883, and I love talking about their rich history.  They have played more than 2,500 games against the Dodgers, a cross-town rivalry when both teams were in NY that remained no less contentious when both teams relocated to California in 1958.  While I and other Giants fans love yelling "Beat LA!" whenever the Dodgers take the field, I mention one action they took for which all of us should be grateful.

The tour offers a great behind-the-scenes view of one of the game's most beautiful ballparks.  We talk about its unique features including Splash Hits and Triples Alley and ways the venue has been designed to honor great Giant players of the past.  I also share tips to make visits to Oracle Park easier and more enjoyable.

One question I've been asked is whether we guides make big league salaries.  It's an honor to be a tour guide in "The Show" and I always strive to be on top of my game lest I be sent to Sacramento to give tours for the AAA Rivercat team.  I've been assured that our paychecks are the same size as that of great players such as Buster Posey and Evan Longoria.
