Frida Kahlo

At the time of Frida Kahlo’s death in 1954, a treasure trove of the artist’s highly personal items—including jewelry, clothing, personal photographs, and prosthetics—were locked away. These belongings have been unsealed and will be shown in an exhibition at the de Young Museum when it reopens. Docent Kathryn Zupsic’s presentation will prepare us for the exhibition and help us celebrate this great artist, whose history includes key periods living in San Francisco.

Rodney Paul has been leading Zoom-based art tours long before shelter-in-place, as a way to share art from a distance. In his tours, he provides information to help viewers mine the artworks for meaning based on their own experiences and perceptions.
