Imogen Cunningham was an innovative photographer based in San Francisco, known for her stunning photographs of botanicals, nudes and industrial landscapes, and captured noted portraits of fellow artists including Ruth Asawa, Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.
Anna Ewins returns to our program to showcase the epic span of Cunningham’s career. Audience members will be encouraged to share their reactions to these photographs and think about the central role she played for many years in the San Francisco art scene.
