The San Francisco Bay Trail currently stretches 350 miles and when completed will encompass more than 500. Millions of people live within just a couple miles of the Trail, and many enjoy visiting its nearby parks and other public spaces for hiking, biking and other pursuits. But most are unaware of the wide variety of landscapes and experiences that await them on other sections of the Trail, even many that are nearby.
Bay Trail Confidential! is a monthly Zoom program that spotlights some of the most inviting and spectacular places along its route. We'll talk about the wildlife you can see and history you'll learn about along the Trail. Each month's show will provide specific recommendations and valuable information to help you make the most of this amazing public resource.
The program is hosted by Rodney Paul and Ethel Konopka. Rodney has been a tour guide in San Francisco since 2015 and loves biking the Trail. Ethel prefers to hike and is newer to the trail but Rodney’s equal in enthusiasm.
Our goal is to inspire you to visit more of the Trail and better appreciate SF Bay, which is the defining feature of our region. This month we'll present our very first Bay Trail Confidential. But our plan is to follow it with many more, and we hope you'll keep coming back for more.
The Zoom link will be sent to participants after registering on Eventbright.
