Charlie Goldberg and Jeanette Pettibone are back with Rodney Paul to discuss the exhibition of Nam June Paik at SFMOMA and his array of groundbreaking artworks that often defy description. Paik’s career in the late 20th Century foreshadowed the world we live in today in which video screens are ubiquitous. He made innovative use of video but also used televisions and other electronic devices as objects in robotic sculptures that often evoke a jocular response. We’ll discuss our reactions to the show, and, as always, we’ll be eager to hear your thoughts as well.
