Ansel Adams described Ruth Bernhard as the greatest photographer of the female nude. She was indeed that and so much more.
We’ll be joined by Robert Tat, who had the distinct privilege of being Ruth’s friend for the last decade of her life. He’ll show us a selection of her female nudes as well as other works in her oeuvre. Along the way, he’ll share personal anecdotes and stories about Ruth to convey why she was so beloved — not just as a great photographer but also as a wonderful teacher with a marvelous philosophy of life.
