The Oct. Bay Trail Confidential show will spotlight American Canyon and the Bay Area Ridge Trail’s recently launched Circumnavigation Page.
Though many people drive through American Canyon on their way to Napa, few stop to experience its lovely bayfront sections. New segments of the Vine Trail added by the city should bring more people to these places and also enable cyclists and hikers to avoid Hwy 29 entirely on their way to and from Napa. We’ll be joined by Janelle Sellick, who heads the city’s new Wetlands Ecology Center, and City Council members Pierre Washington and Mark Joseph, who championed the Vine Trail extensions.
Circumnavigation is a fun, valuable way to explore our region. The Bay Area Ridge Trail recently launched a web page that provides information and has a Wall of Fame celebrating those who have completed the current 350-mile Trail.
Bay Trail Confidential! is a monthly Zoom program that spotlights some of the most inviting and spectacular places along its route. We'll talk about the wildlife you can see and history you'll learn about along the Trail. Each month's show will provide specific recommendations and valuable information to help you make the most of this amazing public resource.
The program is hosted by Rodney Paul, who has been a tour guide in San Francisco since 2015 and loves biking the Trail. Our goal is to inspire you to visit more of the Trail and better appreciate SF Bay, which is the defining feature of our region.
