Lawrence Lek's 82-min. film "AIDOL" is part of the de Young Museum's "Uncanny Valley" exhibition (ongoing through June 27). The film uses a CGI video game environment for its setting and tells the story of a singer who resorts to using Artificial Intelligence algorithms to create her music. I'll be joined by fellow museum guide Jeanette Pettibone to discuss it. But we'll also want to hear what you thought of the film and will encourage attendees to share their thoughts. Note that the size of this FREE event is limited to 100 people.
The AIDOL film is 82 minutes with an 8 min. interval between showings. Screenings start at 9:45, 11:15, 12:45, 2:15 and 3:45. The room includes beanbag chairs. Be sure you're able to get back on your feet after sitting!
