Though not well known during her lifetime, the quilts of Richmond artist Rosie Lee Tompkins have attracted growing numbers of admirers for their vibrant colors and collages of fascinating images. The Berkeley Arts Museum and Pacific Film Archives has an impressive collection of this African American artist’s best works, many of which are on display in an exhibition on display NOW. Rodney will be joined by fellow museum guide Kellie Krug.
