Bay Trail Confidential is a monthly Zoom program presented on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm Pacific Time.
The program explores the inviting and spectacular public places along the Bay Trail route. On each show, we spotlight a particular place and have guests providing inside knowledge on what to expect and how to make the most of your visits. We also discuss the wide array of activities the Bay Trail supports such as hiking, biking, kayaking, photography, birding, swimming and many others. We talk about the wildlife you can see and history you'll learn about along the Trail. Each month's show will provide specific recommendations and valuable information to help you make the most of this amazing public resource.

The San Francisco Bay Trail is a planned 500-mile walking and cycling path around the entire San Francisco Bay running through all nine Bay Area counties, 47 cities, and across seven toll bridges. Currently, 350 miles have been completed. Click here for numbered maps of the Trail with details on which sections are complete.

Bay Trail Tacos

Help us identify the taquerias and taco trucks on the Bay Trail. So far, we have found 44 and Rodney has eaten at 18. But we know there are many more out there, and our goal is to visit and compile a list of at least 100.

Those who log visits to these taquerias and taco trucks and identify new ones will be eligible to win Bay Trail map cards on upcoming shows. You’ll eat well, have fun and maybe gets the map cards, too!

Photography Contest

Every other month, the show includes a photography contest, with the winner receiving a set of Bay Trail Map cards and other prizes. Click here for information on how to enter. Good luck!

Months in which we’ll have the contest: Feb, April, June, Sept., Nov..

Bay Trail Cred

We show Bay Trail Cred maps for hosts and guests on each show to highlight which parts of the Bay Trail we’ve visited on foot, by bike or on the water without a motor.

We see this not as a competition but as a way of showing how we’ve experienced the Bay Trail. Many people who have been to fewer places have nevertheless spent much time in the places they know and have deep knowledge to share.
